Learning Support Coordinator

At our school, we are committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive, belong, and achieve their full potential. Central to this mission is our Learning Support Coordinator (LSC).

The LSC role is dedicated to identifying and addressing the diverse learning needs of our students right from the start. Working collaboratively alongside teachers, whānau, and external support agencies, our LSC ensures that the right supports are put in place for students who need extra assistance with their learning, behaviour, or well-being.

What Does the Learning Support Coordinator Do?

• Supports Students & Whānau: Acts as a dedicated point of contact for families, helping navigate learning support systems and ensuring voices are heard.
• Collaborates with Staff: Works closely with classroom teachers to develop inclusive strategies, program modifications, and environments where all learners can succeed.
• Connects with Experts: Links our school with external agencies and specialists to bring targeted resources and expertise directly to our learners.
• Eases Transitions: Supports students as they move into our school, between year levels, or transition on to further education.

Our LSC works behind the scenes and in our classrooms to build an inclusive learning community where no student is left behind, and every success, big or small, is celebrated.
